Tenerife Life ("we", "our", or "us") provides an events directory and optional account features through tenelife.es. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your personal data.

Information We Collect

When you create or use an account, we may collect:

• Email address
• Display name
• Preferred language
• Profile image (when signing in with Google)
• Your selected, favourite, and planned events
• Notification preferences

We collect only the information necessary to provide the requested functionality.

Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information that you authorize Google to share, such as your email address, display name, and profile picture.

This information is used solely to authenticate your account and provide account-related functionality.

Google Calendar

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, Tenerife Life requests permission to create calendar events that you explicitly choose within the application.

The Google Calendar permission is used only to create events in your primary Google Calendar.

Tenerife Life does not:

• read your existing calendar events;
• modify your existing calendar events;
• delete calendar events;
• access calendars that you have not explicitly authorized.

How Google OAuth Tokens Are Stored

Google OAuth access tokens are stored only within your browser and are never transmitted to or stored on Tenerife Life servers.

Because OAuth tokens remain exclusively on your device:

• our servers cannot access them;
• our employees cannot access them;
• third parties cannot access them through our systems.

You may revoke Google Calendar access at any time through your Google Account permissions.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These measures include:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all communications between your browser, Tenerife Life, and Google services;
• secure authentication using Google's OAuth 2.0 authorization framework;
• collection of only the minimum data required to provide requested functionality;
• restricted access to application infrastructure and administrative systems;
• regular software and security updates;
• monitoring and logging of security-related events where appropriate.

Since Google OAuth access tokens are stored only within your browser, they are never retained on our servers.

How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• provide user accounts;
• remember your preferences;
• display your selected events;
• create Google Calendar events that you explicitly request;
• improve the reliability and security of the service.

We do not use your Google user data for advertising purposes.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information.

We share information only when necessary to operate the service, including:

• Google, when you use Google Sign-In or Google Calendar integration;
• service providers that help us operate the website, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations;
• when required by applicable law.

Data Retention

Account information is retained while your account remains active or as required to comply with legal obligations.

Because Google OAuth access tokens are stored only in your browser, Tenerife Life does not retain copies of those tokens on its servers.

If you disconnect Google Calendar or revoke access through your Google Account, the authorization immediately becomes unusable.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• access your personal data;
• correct inaccurate information;
• request deletion of your account and personal data;
• object to or restrict certain processing activities;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
